Over the years, we've added various modalities that complement and enhance the Iderm Facial, along with entirely new treatments. Our menu has now grown to over 16 treatments....and frankly, it's become a bit of a mess.

So, starting soon, we will offer a simplified menu, each with appropriate enhancements that you can either book during the scheduling process or have your esthetician customize your experience for you during your appointment. We will send out an email when this goes live.

It's hard to believe that today marks 15 years since I first opened the doors to DERMASPACE on Queen Anne Hill.

On that first day, I had just two clients.

One came for a few sessions and then moved on, but the other, Terri, became more than just a client—she became a dear friend. For nearly a decade, she was a regular every Friday until she moved back to her hometown before the pandemic.

Friday's are never the same.

I’m thrilled to still see many clients from that first few years returning regularly, whether every 2 or 4 weeks, each visit is a reminder of the deep connections and shared history & true friendship we’ve built together.

Now that I’m welcoming new clients again, I’m excited about the opportunity to build new relationships and add to that list.

Starting DERMASPACE was all about helping people feel their best in their own skin, and looking back, I’m proud of the strides we’ve made toward that goal.

It’s a mission I’m still passionate about.

Where are you from originally?

Born in Los Angeles, raised in SoCal till age 16 then Visalia, CA.

What inspired you to become an esthetician?

I wanted to pursue a career in theater. I used to dance, sing etc but after my first choice of college fell through, I volunteered for a regional reparatory theater company and was placed in the hair and makeup department and it just stuck. I found my calling. I’ve been working in this field since 1991. Life takes you in directions you may not have planned but ultimately find yourself so grateful.

Share an interesting or unique fact about yourself.

I’m a pretty good quilter & photographer. I’m always pursuing new artistic endeavors. Recently it’s been learning to DJ and I started taking piano lessons.  I like my hobbies.

How long have you been a part of the Dermaspace team?

Well….that’s easy…..15 years and counting. I opened the doors on August 9th, 2009.

What do you love most about working at Dermaspace?

Helping others achieve their skincare goals and being a small part helping people feel better about themselves.

Any memorable moments or experiences you’ve had here?

So so many. I have clients who have been coming to me every 2-4 weeks for nearly 15 years so I’ve been there for births, graduations, helping brides get ready for their big day….you name it. Some of my clients are like an extension of my family and have become dear friends. Also helping younger estheticians deepen their passion for skincare…that’s been pretty awesome.

What is your favorite service and why?

Honestly, I am a purist and love our signature Iderm Facial. It’s truly changed the lives of so many of my clients and all the add on services like microdermabrasion or Revitapen etc are just icing on the cake. I also love Collagen Induction Therapy (ProCell Microchanneling and Microneedling).

I founded DERMASPACE on the Buddhist principles of Mettā or Maitrī which means cultivating unconditional loving-kindness, friendliness, amity, goodwill, and active interest in yourself. What are your favorite Dermaspace skincare retail we carry and why?

Calming Repair Cream because I have such dry and sensitive skin and this is my #1 go to for others suffering from the same thing. I also love our Dual Action Clarifying Pads….a perfect blend of AHA/BHA and gentle enough to use daily.

Share a valuable skincare tip that you think everyone should know.

What works for your friend or someone on social media does not mean it will work for you. Also – don’t just give up on product or service after trying it only once or for a week…..it takes time. Be patient and trust the process.

What do you enjoy most about interacting with clients?

Being part of a team that works together to help them with their goals – I can’t help them if they don’t “show up” so it’s a true partnership.

Can you share a memorable client success story?

So many – but the clients who struggled with severe inflammation/acne who tried everything but finally found a solution at DERMASPACE.

How do you ensure each client has a personalized and enjoyable experience at Dermaspace?

By listening to their needs and educating them as much as possible.

What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?

Piano, dj’ing, sewing, learning new things constantly. I am also a film and tv junky.

Find an esthetician you trust and like and stick with it. Consistency is key – it takes teamwork. I can’t help you if you don’t show up. Together we got this!

Be gentle with yourself, be kind and use kind language toward yourself.
